| Australian CRO Novotech Expands Asian Footprint Into Southeast Asia Australia’s largest independent contract research organisation, Sydney-based Novotech, is expanding its operations into four new Asian markets and establishing a management hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. “In keeping with our continued expansion in Asia, we are rolling out operations across Southeast Asia in four countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, which will complement services we provide in Australia, New Zealand, Korea and India,” Novotech CEO Alek Safarian told PharmAsia News. “We’ve taken the authority to incorporate services in Malaysia with a regional management hub in Kuala Lumpur, and we expect to run trails across those four Southeast Asia countries, which will give us considerably expanded access to patients and sites for our clients.” “This is just the starting point, but over the next three years, more than 50 percent of our revenues and our business will come from outside of Australia and New Zealand,” Safarian said.
